The Sinks is a waterfall along the Little River in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, formed where the river makes an S-turn to create natural pools with boulders on either side. The scenic waterfall has powerful currents and thus swimming is not advised.
I specialize in fine art nature photography, with particular emphasis on the U.S. west including Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. My goal in photographing the natural world is to overcome the inherent limitations of traditional photography to produce images with depth and perspective that artistically represent the beauty of our natural environment. The human eye is far more capable than any camera at seeing the beauty of a natural scene. I strive to overcome that gap.
