The Mingus Mill is a large water-powered mill for grinding corn near the Oconaluftee Visitors Center in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The mill was built in 1886 and still functions to produce corn meal, available for purchase.
I specialize in fine art nature photography, with particular emphasis on the U.S. west including Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. My goal in photographing the natural world is to overcome the inherent limitations of traditional photography to produce images with depth and perspective that artistically represent the beauty of our natural environment. The human eye is far more capable than any camera at seeing the beauty of a natural scene. I strive to overcome that gap.
